Mystery, romance, and elegance shape my vision of New Orleans—a city rich in legends of vampires and witches. This fascination, nurtured by literature and film, inspired my senior project. I explored the city, researched its history, and uncovered its forgotten stories.
I’m drawn to two key eras: the 18th-century French colonial period and the 1920s Prohibition era. They serve as anchors, grounding my designs in history while allowing me to reinterpret the past with a modern eye.
To me, history is not about imitation but transformation. My work is an echo—a continuous dialogue between past and future. Through details like my one-seam, one-piece coat, I revive forgotten techniques while reimagining them for a world where craftsmanship meets innovation.
While many envision a cold, industrial future, I see one where mystery and romance endure—a shadowed bar in New Orleans, a lingering jazz tune, and elegance that never fades.
